Moving out/Moving on

I'm currently in the process of moving out of my student house; i've been counting down the days since i first got here, which sounds ungrateful i know, but it's been a turbulent few months. The house wasn't in great condition from the off; i think when we came round to view it back in feb 2009 we were blinded by the previous tenants lovely decorating stills with patterned sheets on the wall and mood lighting. It masked the nastiness. Obviously, having livied here for a year you see every little imperfection, fault, and problem, like the backdoor which you have to slam really hard to make it lock; the leaky shower; the ripped wallpaper which we asked to be fixed when we moved in but it never was; and the tendancy for every speck of dirt to stick the the carpet, even after you've just hoovered it.
The landlord wasn't very good either. Took him months to sort the fire alarm out, then to sort our drains out, then he blamed a housemate for breaking her bed which was already broken when we moved in...useless.

However i have learnt afew things about myself and in general whilst living here:

1) I don't like dirty people - mess makes me agitated, less likely to eat, and more prone to grumpiness.

2) It is not my responsiblity to clean up others mess; i am not their mother, neither do i want the role!

3) I cannot bear white walls, and must cover them or else i keep staring at them at night and never get to sleep.

4) Walking up a hill takes TWICE AS LONG as walking down it.

5) Don't live with a druggy - i can smell weed a mile off now.

6) If it's clean people will use is, no matter if it's theirs or not!

7) Apart from me, it seems people leave washing up piling up for a week or only wash it when mould is getting out of control.

8) People can't seem to remember to buy basic things like toilet roll - actually they forget how to be hygenic at all.

9) I can cook, actually COOK. (well, whenever there was a clean space in the kitchen i attempted to cook).

10) I'm reasonably clean and like a clean house. Clean house = happy house. Yeaaah.

11) I'm a night owl. Twit-twoo.

12) I like my independence, and also my takeways, which i must cut down on, like NOW.

Now i feel all sentimental; must regain bitch-self and remind my head that this place it a shithole and i will never miss it. Bye bye house, i'll have left you by 4pm, never to return again. Ha.
