Florence + the machine make my heart beat in ways that no other band could...
Muse used to have that effect, however i am left horrified at how horrendously awful their new song is, which happens to be the lead song on the new Twilight film soundtrack. Dear god, i never thought the day would come where i'd be reassessing my love for Muse. Saddening, but we all change and move on.
However, i cleansed myself by watching Florence's new video; pure heaven. The lady is beautiful. Her voice evokes sparkling shivers and her videos are a visual delight. Such a wonderful inspiration.

Ages ago i did a couple of illustrations based on florence. Here they are, taken from my flickr account, which seriously needs to be updated at some point.

I can't wait to do some more illustrative based stuff over the summer hols. I adore performance and video, but as i don't have the equipment to record films then illustrations has to take a more dominant role. I may still do public performances though. We'll see how it goes.

Also, i need to make some money, so i'm considering selling a load of my cds on ebay, if anyone's interested i'll put a list of those i wish to sell up on here. Sometimes you realise what's more important, and although i love my cds, i could do with the cash.

I went into Lakeland the other day, and lingered over some beautiful cookery books, such as this one below. The images literally make my mouth water; sweet treats of gorgeousness. Ofcourse, i have to behave myself from now, need to stop eating so many sweet things and enforce a diet upon myself, somehow!
Uni is nearly over; first year is nearly done. Excitement, and a little sadness. It's overwhelming. I'm so pleased to have found my way again in life.

I've found an easy recipe to make myself some starbucks style frappuccinos at home! Looking forward to making my own creations and seeing if i can match the delightful taste of my favourite coffee drink.

'We're having a gang bang, we're having a ball, we're having a gang bang against the wall!'

Me and my lovely friend Sally have done a performance together, as we fancied collaborating, as we're both performance artists, and we're both rather fantastic. We have similar tastes and both wanted to do a self initiated piece seperate from group seminars and crits, to bulk up our research portfolios and just for abit of good old fashioned fun!

Here's a little ditty from my practical research explaining the piece briefly:
'The piece involved the two of us assuming polar-opposite characters who sit side by side in differing environments eating food in very dissimilar ways. The extremity in difference between the two protagonists came across clearly and humorously, as I played a child who tried her hardest to communicate with Sally’s character, who was snobbish and disinterested in involving herself with an immature, gluttonous monster.'

i love cake :)
hopefully a video will be uploaded soon.
